Grief Journal Prompt for "today I am having a hard time with"
Grief Journaling Prompt: Today, I'm having a hard time with..

Today, I'm Having a Hard Time With...

Today, I’m having a hard time with

Knowing I’d have more if you were still here.

More love that wrapped me in warmth,

More laughter that echoed through empty rooms,

More help when the world felt heavy,

More guidance when I lost my way.

I would have more.

More family—because mine died when you did.

When you left, the light dimmed,

And the ties that held us unraveled,

Fraying at the edges of a once-whole heart.

You were the center, the anchor, the glue.

Without you, I drift,

Wishing for what we had,

Longing for what could have been.

But today, I'm just having a hard time.

With the empty spaces

Where you once stood

And all the "more" you took with you.

Join us this October for grief journaling prompts. Let’s reflect together and explore what you’re having a hard time with today.

Embracing October with Grief Journaling Prompts: Join Us on This Journey

As we step into October, a month dedicated to mental health awareness, we invite you to embark on a reflective journey through grief. This month, we’ll be sharing journaling prompts designed to help you explore your emotions, process your experiences, and find healing in the written word.

Grief can often feel isolating, but journaling provides a powerful outlet for expressing your thoughts and feelings. Whether you’re navigating the loss of a loved one, a significant relationship, or even a cherished part of yourself, putting pen to paper can illuminate the path toward understanding and acceptance.

Each week, we’ll present a new prompt centered on grief, inviting you to reflect and write about your experiences. Our first prompt is: “Today I’m having a hard time with…” This simple yet profound starting point encourages you to dive deep into your emotions, acknowledging the complexities of grief.

We encourage you to join us in this healing process. What will you write about? How does grief shape your thoughts, your day, your life? Let your heart guide your pen, and share your journey with us as we navigate this difficult but essential aspect of life together.

Stay tuned for our upcoming prompts, and let’s embrace the power of words as we honor our grief and celebrate the love that remains.
