Episode 51 Melissa 'Missy' Taylor Ellison

In this episode of The Murder in My Family, we discuss the case of 20-year-old Melissa Taylor Ellison, better known as Missy to her family and friends. Missy was brutally bludgeoned to death 32 years ago this week in her Jacksonville, FL mobile home. Despite 2 adult roommates, and Missy's 13-month-old daughter being home when the murder happened, several clues, and a 911 call from a man claiming to be Missy's killer, the case remains unsolved. Missy's daughter Casie discusses her mother's case, and how not having Missy in her life directly affected her.

If you have any information about Missy's case, please call the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office at (904) 630-0500. To remain anonymous, call First Coast Crime Stoppers at

(866) 845-TIPS.

Missy's daughter Casie has started a website to assist with depression, in part as a direct result of her own experiences. You can check it out at: http://www.changethefaceofdepression.com/
